Every year on 24th June, exactly 24 walnuts – still green and unripe but juicy and soft – are soaked in a litre of pure alcohol, fermented with sugar and enriched with vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg. After 90 days the Nocino 24 crystallises: nutty, dark, sticky, slightly sweet – simply fantastico!
